"Backstreet to the American Dream" chronicles the immigrant and working class roots of the food truck revolution. Filmmaker Patricia Nazario produced and directed this engrossing chronicle that spans pre-colonial times to the current food-truck boom. Several interviews in the film needed accompanying graphic explanation. Germantown Studios worked hand-in-hand with the filmmakers to create several sequences using a variety of techniques and incorporating open-source maps and restored, archival photographs to tell this relatively unknown story of American cuisine. The film has gone on to win several awards at film festivals nationwide.
